The B.C. Professional Fire Fighter's Burn and Plastics Unit (BPU) is a I5-bed unit located on the 2nd floor of the Vancouver General Hospital's Jim Pattison Pavilion. Patients aged six and older from all areas of British Columbia are referred to this unit. Patients under the age of six years are referred to B.C. Children's Hospital.

Our BPU team is comprised of doctors, registered nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and nursing PCAs, as well as a dietitian, social worker, psychiatrist and psychologist. Other consultative services we provide include Perioperative Pain Service, Chemical Dependency Rehabilitation and Geriatrics.
