Manager for the Burn Unit is responsible for management of
Medical Outpatients. She also addresses all unit staffing
concerns, including interviewing, performance appraisals and
budgeting, providing excellence in Health Care Delivery. Under
this same role, Lois investigates purchasing of equipment
and supplies to continually improve and optimize health care
for our patients.

Lois Budd joined the Burn and Plastics Team in 1987 as a General
Duty Nurse. Prior to her permanent position as Patient Services
Manager in 1997, Lois worked as Nurse Clinician and acting Patient
Services Manager for the BPU.
In 1998 Lois' role expanded to include management of Surgical Outpatients
and the Wound Care Program for People with Spinal Cord Injuries.
She addresses all unit staffing concerns, including interviewing,
performance appraisals and budgeting, providing excellence in Health
Care Delivery. Under this same role, Lois investigates purchasing
of equipment and supplies to continually improve and optimize health
care for our patients.
Lois is also actively involved with many special interest groups
for burn prevention and awareness. Her personal strengths in public
speaking, leadership, and mediation, along with her empathy and
support for patients, staff and colleagues all contribute to the
smooth operation and provision of optimum health care delivery.
